ALL eyes are on Dayne Beams in the Brisbane camp this week, with the midfielder potentially poised for a return to AFL football after a lengthy stint on the sidelines.

The 26-year old underwent shoulder surgery during the off season, and has since missed the first six rounds while battling knee tendinitis – but he could make an appearance against the Power on Sunday, according to lions.com.au.

Brisbane football manager Matthew Francis said he’ll train all week, and will need prove his fitness during the Lions’ main session on Friday.

"Dayne has done rigorous and thorough rehabilitation on his knee in recent months," Francis said.

"He was close to playing last weekend but we thought we’d give him another week of conditioning.

"If he can get through a whole week of training, he’s expected to make his return."

Port Adelaide hosts Brisbane in Round 7 for Mother's Day, on Sunday May 8 at 4:10pm (ACST).
