THE club has officially revealed the theme for its’ 2016 gala event this year…Port Goes Shanghai Nights!

The glamorous, black-tie ball is the club’s landmark annual fundraising event and an eagerly anticipated evening in the Port Faithful’s calendar each year.

Inspired by the vibrant Chinese culture, the club’s night of nights promises an evening of colourful entertainment and authentic food with a touch of Oriental glamour.

Think an Asian fusion menu, roving performers, live music and both a silent and live auction with over 350 items up for grabs – including a Renault car and a trip to China with the team!

At the event launch on Friday, Power midfielder Robbie Gray said Shanghai Nights was a fitting theme, given the club’s development of the game into China.

"China & Port Adelaide have a lot in common. We both have long, rich histories, we're both steeped in tradition and we have a lot of loyal supporters," he said.

"As a club we're looking forward to some pretty spectacular Shanghai Nights and this gala will be just the start of it.

“It’s the most important fundraising event for the club, it’s a great night and all the players and coaches come along too and get into the spirit.”

Port Goes…Shanghai Nights will be held on Friday July 8 at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre from 6.30pm.
