HAMISH HARTLETT should recover from a corked leg suffered against the Eagles on Saturday to be selected against Melbourne this week.

Teammate Darcy Byrne-Jones will be assessed for a bad ankle roll that temporarily removed him from the ground.

Port Adelaide’s head of high performance Darren Burgess says his team will monitor how Byrne-Jones recovers this week.

“Harts and Darcy will be sore for a few days, although Hamish should be fine to play,” Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“With Darcy, we’ll just need to monitor how he responds in the next few days.”

SANFL candidates Billy Frampton (ankle), Cameron Hewett (finger) and Aidyn Johnson (hamstring) should return after this weekend’s break for the SANFL-VFL game at the Adelaide Oval.

Matt White has been given a 6-8 week timeframe for a return from a pectoral injury having previously been listed as indefinite on the Power’s long-term injury list.

Jay Schulz and Will Snelling are yet to have a timeframe put on their return.
