PORT ADELAIDE should not need to make forced changes to its AFL line-up ahead of next Saturday's game against the Western Bulldogs.

No significant injuries were sustained by the Power in its thumping win over Collingwood at the MCG on Sunday, with Travis Boak rolling an ankle in the first half but returning to post an exciting performance with 25 disposals and seven inside-50s.

But Port's depth will be tested by the loss of Alipate Carlile in the SANFL on Saturday.

Carlile suffered a knee injury against Glenelg and is expected to miss game time, however the duration will be determined by the extent of the damage sustained.

Port's head of football Chris Davies says initial signs suggest a PCL - or posterior cruciate ligament - injury, the same suffered by league ruckman Matthew Lobbe in the SANFL a month ago.

"The initial thought is that it could be a PCL, but we won't know until we get the results from the scans, which should be mid-week," Davies told portadelaidefc.com.au.

Ken Hinkley told FIVEaa before the Power's Sunday win that a worst-case scenario would see Carlile miss the rest of the season.

Jimmy Toumpas also left the field in Saturday's loss to Glenelg at Alberton with an ankle injury, but returned to see out the game.

Contracted league player Robbie Young also sustained a collarbone injury and will miss a yet-to-be-determined period in recovery.
