THE rumour mill has been running wild at Alberton over Chad Wingard’s choice of headwear at the Collingwood game last week.

The Power forward ruffled some feathers among certain footy commentators when he reportedly rocked up for the pre-game warmup at the MCG wearing a Collingwood beanie.

That’s right – he wore a black and white beanie with ‘Magpies’ knitted into the front.

Can you believe it?

Now, if you're wondering why Port Adelaide's star forward was sporting a Magpies beanie in the minutes leading up to their clash with Collingwood, on the enemy’s home turf…

The answer is simple.

He didn’t.

Of course, it’s a Port Adelaide beanie… you know, the oldest and most successful football club in South Australia - the club Wingard actually plays for!

*facepalm*

In fact, he cruises around the club wearing it frequently.

You can grab your own exclusively in-store at the Port Store, Alberton!
