JACK Hombsch will spend at least another week on the sidelines after being withdrawn late from the Power’s Friday night clash with the Tigers.

The defender suffered another injury setback during the week, straining a quad at the Power’s final training session.

He underwent scans and monitoring by fitness staff on Friday, who ultimately decided to take a no-risk approach and withdraw him from the game.

Young defender Tom Clurey will come in to replace Hombsch in his first AFL appearance for season 2016.

Hombsch was set to return from a hamstring injury this week, which has kept him sidelined since Round 11.
