WILL SNELLING has been upgraded to Port Adelaide’s senior list for the final game of the season.

He will make his debut against the Gold Coast Suns on the back of an impressive finish to the year in the SANFL.

Snelling - a 2015 SANFL premiership player with West Adelaide – joined the Power via the most recent AFL rookie draft and has played eight games for the club in the SANFL this year on top of the 15 clocked up with the Bloods.

A long-term foot injury hampered most of his season, however the 18-year-old’s recent strong form for the Magpies has justified his call up.

“Will has battled injury this year, but he’s been very, very consistent in the SANFL this last month,” Port Adelaide senior coach Ken Hinkley said.

“He’s earned a call up on form, but it also gives him a chance to see how he goes at the next level.”

Port Adelaide will name its final line-up for Saturday’s season-ending clash with Gold Coast on Thursday night at 5.55pm ACST.
