The Game Day Village which has been positioned on the Memorial Drive tennis courts for two seasons will go on hiatus this year due to Tennis SA redevelopment works.

It is just one of several changes taking place at the Adelaide Oval this year.

Those changes, which will be covered on portadelaidefc.com.au this week, will not adversely impact the Power’s game day experience, but will result in some outside staples being relocated.

Port Adelaide chief executive Keith Thomas said Port Adelaide’s commitment remains to deliver a fantastic event for fans coming to the Adelaide Oval.

“Tennis SA is undergoing some significant redevelopment works, which require all available tennis courts to be free for use,” Mr Thomas said.

“That means the court we previously leased for Game Day Village is no longer available.

“Our relationship with Tennis SA remains strong.

“What we are doing is making sure our game day experience continues to be a nation-leading event for everyone coming to Port Adelaide games.

“We’re very excited about our first home game on Sunday against Freo and hope all our members and supporters can get out for a fantastic day of footy.”

Port Adelaide plays Fremantle at 4.10pm ACST on Sunday 2 April at the Adelaide Oval.
