TOM JONAS can accept a two-game ban for engaging in rough conduct in Saturday's game against the Western Bulldogs.

Jonas was reported for the act against the Bulldogs' Luke Dahlhaus in the third quarter of the Power's 17-point win in Ballarat.

The contact was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact to the head.

Usually, that equates to a two-game sanction, but because of Jonas's previous poor record, he is taxed an extra game, bringing his suspension to three matches.

However, an early plea will bring the penalty back down to two games.

If he accepts the suspension, Jonas will miss Saturday's game against the Suns and the first week of AFL Finals.

Port Adelaide is yet to decide whether it will appeal the MRP's findings at the Tribunal.
