KEY defender Jack Hombsch’s season is over after successful surgery on his right hip.

General Manager of Football Chris Davies says the operation was to remove some floating bone.

“We’ve been managing the issue throughout the latter part of this season but it got to the point where surgery was the best option for Jack in the long term,” Davies said.

“He’s recovering well. It’ll be six weeks or so before he can run again but he should be back to full fitness in time for the start of pre-season.”

Hombsch has played 13 of a possible 22 games for the Power this season.
