Robbie Gray – Pick 55 in 2006

Robbie Gray was drafted from the Oakleigh Chargers, after kicking 56 goals with the club. Gray was also a part of the Victoria Metro U18s, where he played a midfield-forward role.

While playing for the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup, the three-time All-Australian worked in a butcher’s in Dandenong from 5am-3.30pm, before heading down the highway to Oakleigh for training.

The 29-year-old has currently played 178 games for Port Adelaide, kicking 258 goals. He slotted four goals in just his third AFL game against Essendon, where he received a Rising Star nomination. Gray has won two Showdown medals, three All-Australian selections, and three club Best & Fairest awards.
