PORT ADELAIDE has selected Kane Farrell with its second pick in the 2017 National Draft.

Farrell was described as one of the more underrated players in this year's draft - but that changed when he performed strongly at the National Combine.

The 18-year-old won the agility test, before finishing second in the 20m sprint - a great sign of his pure athleticism.

Playing for Vic Country in the U18 Championships, Farrell averaged 14 touches and three marks a game, while averaging 17 possessions for Bendigo in the TAC Cup.
