PORT ADELAIDE could welcome back a number of its stars for the clash with West Coast on Saturday afternoon at Optus Stadium.

Paddy Ryder is inching closer to selection and may make his return to face the Eagles if the medical staff declare he has recovered from the Achilles tendonitis that has sidelined him since Round 1.

Tom Rockliff played in the Magpies’ ANZAC Day loss to Sturt, where he racked up 31 disposals, eight marks and four tackles, and will come into consideration for the trip west.

Sam Powell-Pepper will also be in the selector’s thoughts after serving his AFL sanction. He collected 26 touches and a goal in the SANFL’s grand final re-match.

Jack Trengove is another midfielder in the selection frame. He’s been in scintillating form for the Magpies, with 36 possessions and 2 goals in last week’s loss to the Double Blues.

While running defender Jasper Pittard has gained important match fitness in the past two outings for the Magpies since injuring his hamstring in the JLT Community Series.

The final team to take on the Eagles in Perth will be announced tomorrow evening.
