PORT ADELAIDE Father-Son Academy member Jackson Mead has been included among a selection of the nation’s best under 17 talent for the NAB AFL
The two teams have been named after recently retired AFL champions Nick Riewoldt and Jimmy Bartel, with the match scheduled to start at
Mead will feature on ‘Team Riewoldt’ which will be coached by NAB AFL Academy head coach Luke Power.
He is among six South Australians selected, and one of two who plays their club football at Woodville-West Torrens.
The 181-centimetre, 83-kilogram midfielder is the son of three-time premiership Magpie and inaugural John Cahill Medalist Darren Mead.
Former Port Adelaide vice-captain and three-time premiership player Tony Bamford will coach ‘Team Bartel’.
