PORT ADELAIDE forward Lindsay Thomas has accepted a one-match sanction for striking Geelong captain Joel Selwood.

Thomas was cited for striking in the second quarter of the Power’s loss on Saturday night.

The incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact to the head based on video evidence and a medical report from Geelong.

It means Thomas will miss Saturday’s match-up with his former side North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.

The 30 year-old will still face the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday evening after being referred directly there for engaging in rough conduct moments before the striking action.

The Match Review Officer charged him over a bump on Cats midfielder Scott Selwood, which was assessed as careless conduct with severe impact to the head.
