PORT ADELAIDE forward Todd Marshall’s stint on the sidelines will continue due to an ongoing foot tendon injury associated with an ankle sprain suffered just over a fortnight ago.

The 19-year-old has not played since falling awkwardly in a contest and spraining his left ankle during the third quarter of Port Adelaide’s SANFL game against Adelaide in Kadina on July 15.

While his ankle has recovered, associated damage to a tendon in the same foot has yet to resolve.

Marshall will wear a moon boot and use crutches to allow the foot injury to settle in the short term and he will commence running again as soon as possible.

The 198-centimetre forward has played 10 career AFL games since debuting in Round 22 2017, and he has kicked 11 goals in seven games this season.
