HAWTHORN’s Tom Mitchell continues to dominate the AFL fantasy scoring, again extending his lead at the top of the standings.

Mitchell scored a remarkable 160 fantasy points in the Hawks’ win over Fremantle but was outscored by Carlton’s Patrick Cripps who had 162.

Mitchell’s season average is now 131.1 points, after he racked up 42 disposals, nine marks and five tackles to go with two goals.

Already the league’s most expensive player, he added a huge $40,000 to his value, taking it to an incredible total of $936,000.

Mitchell is the first player this season to clock $900,000, and the competition’s next most expensive player is Collingwood’s Brodie Grundy at $759,000.

At Port Adelaide, there were four players who scored 100 points or more against the Western Bulldogs while Travis Boak, Charlie Dixon and Tom Rockliff just missed out.

Brad Ebert was best with 106, but Justin Westhoff is still the club’s highest scorer after scoring 87.

Justin Westhoff (mid/fwd - $660,000)

Port Adelaide’s most expensive player and highest scorer has lost a total of $21,000 in his last two games after scoring below average in AFL Fantasy.

His 87 points is well below his 100.5-point average for the season but he is still extremely popular with coaches, featuring in 36,546 of their teams.

He’s fallen to become the 16th ranked player in the competition after being ranked 11th three weeks ago but has still gained $75,000 in value since the start of the season.

Still the only Port Adelaide player averaging 100 points or more in 2018, he fell short against the Bulldogs but still had 17 disposals, four marks, four tackles and a goal to go with 11 hit-outs.

It might be a good time to pick him in your team, given he is at his cheapest price in weeks.

Ollie Wines (mid - $652,000)

He didn’t lose value but he didn’t gain it either.

The Power’s midfield general scored 101 against the Bulldogs, beating his 95.8-point season average.

He has averaged 107 points in his last three games after a couple of below-par performances.

The 23-year-old had 26 disposals, three marks, and seven tackles in the win in Ballarat and was important in the clutches.

He’s closing in on Westhoff as Port Adelaide’s most expensive player but is nowhere near as popular with the coaches, with only 8009 including him in their team.

Jared Polec (mid - $607,000)

Averaging 93.8 points this season, Polec has been extremely consistent all year and scored an above-average 100 points against the Dogs.

He had 32 touches, one mark, two free kicks for and two tackles and while he showed some of his usual run and carry game, he was also important in getting clearances and kicks into the Power’s forward line.

The 25-year-old has become just the fifth Power player to cost more than $600,000 but at just $6,471 per point scored he’s relatively good value.

Polec’s form is building but only 2923 AFL fantasy coaches have recognised his worth so far.

Brad Ebert (mid - $550,000)

If Sunday’s game is anything to go by, the Power’s quiet achiever could be set for a big finish to the season.

He scored 106 points on the back of a performance which saw him grab 20 disposals, six marks, two free kicks for and 11 tackles.

While his season average is 89.2, he continues to be among his side’s best scorers without setting a game alight.

Renowned as a consistent point scorer, he’s been down on his usual lofty standards and since the start of the year has lost a massive $174,000 in value.

With his cost per point at a reasonable $6,165, he might be a good inclusion for a team looking for a consistent performer who doesn’t cost too much.
