AHEAD of their meeting in Round seven of the 2018 AFL Premiership Season we thought we would look back at one of our favourite clashes between Port Adelaide and West Coast.

The Power was unbeaten heading into the Round 5 clash in 2013 while West Coast was looking to kick-start its season having won just one of its first four games for the season.

What eventuated was a remarkable come-from-behind victory, which will live on in the memory banks of Port Adelaide supporters for years to come.

The Eagles stunned the Power at Football Park with more intensity at the contest and the visitors recorded their second-best first quarter of the season to take a 22-point lead into the first break.

West Coast was completely dominant in the second quarter, booting three goals 9 to one goal five, with both sides struggling for accuracy.

When Chris Masten booted his first goal in the third quarter to give his side a 40-point advantage, it appeared the Eagles had the result in the bag.

But they would be left to rue their wastefulness as Chad Wingard kick-started a fight-back for the Power after Jake Neade’s dashing run down the wing.

The Power kicked eight of the last nine goals to steal a five-point win to make Kane Cornes’ 250th game even more memorable for the club.

Cornes was among the home side’s best with 26 touches, eight marks and a goal, while Hamish Hartlett, Travis Boak, Wingard and Angus Monfries kicked two goals each.
