PORT ADELAIDE speedster Steven Motlop played the perfect game in his side’s win over St Kilda according to the AFL coaches.

Motlop received a maximum ten votes in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award after the 36-point victory.

Playing in his 150th AFL game, Motlop had 28 touches, seven marks, three clearances, seven rebound 50s and six tackles.

The 27-year-old also managed seven inside 50s and two goal assists.

He linked up well through the middle with teammate Chad Wingard who was given eight votes by the coaches.

Wingard had a game-high 32 disposals, two marks, five clearances and five tackles as well as nine inside 50s.

Justin Westhoff and Charlie Dixon each received two votes, while Tom Rockliff was given one.

St Kilda’s David Armitage and Jack Steele received four and three votes respectively.

Max Gawn has jumped to the top of the leaderboard after receiving six votes from the coaches. The Melbourne big man is now on 61 votes - one ahead of Carlton young-gun Patrick Cripps.

Motlop, Dayne Beams (Brisbane Lions), Luke Breust (Hawthorn), Mitch Duncan (Geelong Cats), Clayton Oliver (Melbourne), Scott Pendlebury (Collingwood) and Scott Thompson (North Melbourne) all received the maximum 10 votes.
