STEVEN SUMMERTON will captain Port Adelaide in Saturday’s SANFL trial game against Adelaide at Alberton Oval.

The reigning A.R. McLean Medallist has recovered from a back complaint and will play his first game of the year in a strong Magpies line-up against the Crows.

A number of players will flow through to the Magpies on Saturday morning, ahead of the day’s later AFL match at Elizabeth Oval between Port Adelaide and Melbourne.

Among Port Adelaide’s ‘contracted’ players will by Tom Gray, Sid Masters, Louis Sharrad, Zac Hawkins, Luke Reynolds, Tom Corcoran and Anthony Biemans.

Several academy players will also feature, including Alex Stengle, Sean Davidson, Tom Phelps and Jack Cooper.

This will be Chad Cornes’s first game – albeit unofficial – as senior coach of Port Adelaide in the SANFL.
