JACK HOMBSCH will miss three weeks with a quad injury suffered at training, with scans yesterday revealing a strain.

Hombsch injured his left quad while participating in a light kicking drill in the Power’s ‘Captain’s Run’ on Thursday last week.

That forced him to be a late omission from the Port’s win over Richmond on Friday.

“It was a pretty innocuous thing to happen,” Port head of high performance Darren Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“It’s a strain to the quad on his kicking leg – he’s a left footer – so we think it’ll mean about three weeks out for him.”

Hombsch previously missed three games with a hamstring injury suffered in the final quarter against Melbourne in Round 10.

Port Adelaide yesterday revealed Matt White, Will Snelling and Matt Lobbe would likely return next week.

Port Adelaide plays Hawthorn at 7.20pm on Thursday 7 July at the Adelaide Oval.
