Headlining the new number allocations is the club’s 2012 first-round draft pick Oliver Wines, who will wear the number 16 guernsey made famous by premiership captain Warren Tredrea.
Wines previously wore #16 during his time as a Bendigo Pioneers player and as a member of the Victoria Country under 16 and 18 sides.

Just as Wines will retain the number he previously played in, Angus Monfries will continue to wear the #6 he donned as an Essendon footballer between 2005 and 2012.
Current players Robbie Gray and John Butcher have changed numbers for the upcoming season and will wear the #9 and #11 jumpers respectively.

National draftee Tom Clurey will take Gray’s former number #17 while fellow draft recruit Mason Shaw will wear #22.
Jake Neade will wear Butcher’s former number #32.
Trade acquisitions Campbell Heath, Lewis Stevenson and Jack Hombsch will occupy numbers #3, #15 and #36, while numbers #30, #37 and #46 have been allocated to new pre-season and rookie draft recruits Sam Colquhoun, Kane Mitchell and Justin Hoskin.
