Peter Jackson Player of the Week

Tom Logan
Controlled his opponent quite well across the game, worked off him at the right times to be involved in our offence and gave us some real energy and drive from the midfield in the last two quarters.

Power reviews

Mitch Harvey
Mitch really worked hard on the big deck but at times we could not get the footy to him in dangerous positions inside 50 due to poor skill errors. He has had a big year to date and just needs to finish off on a positive note.

Steven Summerton
He was a little in and out of the game this week, but Summo managed to still have the third most disposals for us through the midfield. Continues to use the ball well and run and support in offence.

Angus Bruggemann
Had a very good battle with Mabon and White in the ruck this week, he pushed forward on occasions to test his opponent and can be dangerous in the air if given a chance. Would like to see a four-quarter performance this week.

Anthony Biemans
A solid performance down back for Biemer, Centrals had some dangerous smalls and he matched up well against these. Always looks to compete and win every contest that comes his way.

Daniel Flynn
Had the Retzlaff matchup early in the first quarter but just struggled a little to get the job done due to poor defending further up the ground. He did manage to stay involved and played consistently after that.

Sam Gray
Worked hard across the four quarters and his third quarter was probably the best as a creative forward, where he kicked three goals and challenged the oppositions rebound ball with heaps of pressure.

Nathan Krakouer
Did not defend as well as I would have liked early in the match and needed to adjust quicker to what his opponent was doing. Two late goals put us in front using his class and playing instincts to split the big sticks. Must find consistency going forward with his play.

Brendon Ah Chee
Another good step forward for Arch, again won some really hard contested balls but his ability to spread hard and find some uncontested possession a real highlight for us. Just needs to find the balance between kick and handball numbers.

Sam Gordon
Sam had a much more consistent game this week, was very busy and lively across half forward as well as gave us a lift in the ruck during the third quarter. Also went back and played a good role for us against Collier.

Mason Shaw
Mason found it a little difficult at times like Harvey to get into the game. Gave us a target to kick to when we needed a target coming out of defence but he must also take his chances when presented up forward.

Henry Slattery
Pressured the opposition really well and was probably the only forward at times that brought the heat in and around the forward 50.

Lewis Stevenson
Had to go to Retzlaff after the first quarter and I feel like he did a solid job of negating the big man's influence for the rest of the game. He should take some confidence from this, but I still would like to see some real composure when in possession and some leadership down back with our younger defenders.

Sam Russell
Like Krak, I would have liked him to defend with a bit more urgency when the ball was in his area. He did show at times his ability to defend one-on-one but we need this mentality over four quarters.

Karl Amon
I thought Karl really moved like an AFL player throughout the match, he just needs to keep developing his high-intensity running when he has the footy and also when we lose it. He looks a lot more composed and comfortable when in possession and is winning his battles around the ground.

Paul Stewart
Fairly consistent performance, but could not really settle him into one spot due to needing him to put out some spot fires in other positions. Would like to see him really take the game on when in offence and look to hit the scoreboard a little more.

Ben Newton
Newts had a tough day in and around the stoppages. The opposition did at times look to limit his influence on the play and this is something he needs to deal with due to some very good performances with us when not in the AFL team. He should gain confidence that the oppo sees him as a dangerous player and use that to his advantage.

Cam Hitchcock
Not a bad first up game from Hitchy having missed 14 weeks due to injury. The main goal was just to get going and get through the match. He pulled up really well and now can launch into the last part of the year with some confidence.

Darcy Byrne-Jones
Had a good tussle with Glenn who has been in good form. Did get hurt during the game but fought it out to have a solid performance and an opportunity to have some midfield time.

Jarmen Impey
Played his debut game in the SANFL with a great attitude. It did take him a couple of quarters to get the feel of the pace of the game and we played him in a variety of spots. He did manage to settle down in defence where he defended quite well.

Jake Johansen
Jake worked really hard throughout the game after having a week off due to a big state carnival earlier in the year. We love when he takes the game on but he just needs to show some composure and make the opposition pay when in possession. Can’t knock his attack on the footy but would like to see him hit the scoreboard and be more damaging in and around goals.
