PORT Adelaide is aiming to unearth the next Bruce McAvaney…of the Chinese community.

As part of the Power’s push into China, the club is running a competition to find a Mandarin-speaking commentator to call Port Adelaide games in 2016.

Budding AFL commentators will need to submit either video or audio of them calling a piece of play in Mandarin via email to china@pafc.com.au.

Entries close on Wednesday 26 August and four finalists will be selected to call one quarter each of the Power’s Round 23 clash with the Dockers at Adelaide Oval.

One of the four finalists will be a Chinese national and will be flown from China for the game, including four nights of accommodation.

Chinese nationals can enter the competition by visiting the club's official wechat page.
