portadelaidefc.com.au is launching a campaign to get Gavin Wanganeen's lost 2004 premiership guernsey back in the legend's hands.
portadelaidefc.com.au has launched a campaign to get the lost 2004 premiership guernsey of club legend and inaugural AFL captain Gavin Wanganeen back into the hero's hands.
Wanganeen was one of the best players on the ground in the famous grand final but notoriously had his #4 guernsey disappear from the rooms at the end of the game.
Port Adelaide is calling upon anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Gav's guernsey to contact the club at gavsguernsey@pafc.com.au.
Anyone who has the guernsey in their possession can return it to the club anonymously without fear of recrimination at the club's headquarters at Brougham Place, Alberton - the club will treat all information with the strictest confidence.
Gavin and the club are renewing the call to #getgavsguernsey in the lead up to the 10-year anniversary of the historic 2004 AFL premiership.
The premiership reunion will be held on Saturday 8 March 2014.
Port Adelaide will play nine SANFL home games at Alberton in 2014 in an exciting fixture that will draw the faithful to the club's traditional home ground in droves.
