After throwing down the gauntlet to Kane Cornes at the 3km time trial on the first day of pre-season, Mitchell made good on his promise to cut his hair after narrowly losing to the veteran.

He didn’t waste any time, visiting Paul Stewart’s girlfriend, Kirra-Jae, on Monday night to cut off his ‘Lord Farquaad/Tarzan/Fabio’ locks.
Port Adelaide’s social media channels lit up after a photo of the new, aerodynamic Mitchell was posted, with opinions well and truly split down the middle.
One opinion, and the most important opinion at that, was clear though.
“Kenny’s going to be happy (with this),” Mitchell said just before he lost the locks.
