BIGFOOTY user Macca19, aka Craig McKay, reviews the top five players from our NAB Challenge clash with the Crows.

Travis Boak
Despite the result, it was a master class by Boak in the middle. Whether it was winning the hard ball at the stoppage, or whether it was winning tons of the ball around the ground, it was a great game by our Captain. Was constantly under pressure but just knows how to get out of trouble. Given how good he has been the past two years, it’s hard to say he can improve but it looks like he does have another gear in him. In for a huge season.

What we learned - NAB Challenge 3

Robbie Gray
A little sloppy at times with his handballs and also in terms of giving the ball off quickly but he has fantastic again. Was great in NAB 1 and was one of our best again in NAB 3. Picked up clearances at will in the middle of the ground and as always was able to go forward and impact the scoreboard as well. Kicked 2, could have easily had 4. Similar to Travis, Robbie looks set for a massive season.

John Butcher
This is the John Butcher that we've been screaming out for. Hitting packs hard, leading to the ball effectively, kicking straight and just constantly presenting himself. His positioning and attack on the football was better than I have seen in two years. Five goals was a great reward for a very, very good game, including one of the goals of the pre-season. Can this be a watershed moment for John Butcher? Can this give him the confidence he needs to succeed in 2015?

Brad Ebert
Looks in incredible shape and was at his best against Adelaide. Ran hard all day and picked up possessions all over the field, running the lines and going direct down the middle. Kicked a goal and was strong in the middle. This sort of form for a whole season will see Brad go up another level and push for higher recognition.

Jared Polec
Loved Jared's work in the middle two quarters. Ran the lines well and his foot skills are without fault. Finished it off with being one of our key players in the last quarter comeback. Jared is another that can go up another level in 2015.
