JAY Schulz and Paul Stewart are free to play Collingwood after the AFL Match Review Panel said the pair had no case to answer.

Umpire Dean Margetts reported Schulz for striking Melbourne's Lynden Dunn, however the MRP took no further action after deeming the force used to commit the action was insufficient to constitute a reportable offence.

Nor was action taken against Paul Stewart, who was found to have braced for contact with the Demons' Nathan Jones in a first quarter incident.

The MRP deemed Jones had collided with Stewart after spinning out of a tackle with the Power's Robbie Gray and that the incident was the result of circumstances beyond the control of either player.

And Melbourne's Bernie Vince will be free to face Brisbane in two weeks after the MRP found the force used to make contact with Kane Cornes in the second quarter was insufficient to constitute a strike.
