KANE Cornes will be free to play Melbourne on Sunday after accepting a reprimand for striking Richmond's Daniel Jackson.

Cornes was charged with a Level 2 striking offence during Sunday's 20-point loss to the Tigers, which drew 125 demerit points and a one-match ban.

That was downgraded to a reprimand with an early guilty plea.

Despite the reprimand, Cornes was still able to see the lighter side of incurring the wrath of the AFL Match Review Panel on Monday night.

At odds over 500/1, we don't think Kane rated his chances of taking home Charlie that highly anyway...
