THE club is still experiencing an extremely high call volume to its membership line, with more than 3,000 new members signing up in the first two weeks of 2015 membership being launched.

The highest demand has been for 11-game GA and Essential Gold memberships. But that demand has resulted in longer than usual hold times on the membership line.

At any given time, dozens of supporters are on hold, with more than 400 registered for call backs.

Prior to 2015 membership launching, the club implemented a new phone system to cope with the extra calls, but the sheer volume has meant some people have been on hold for longer than expected.

In response, the club has added extra resources to answer phones and membership staff are staying late to work through the backlog.

Once the calls backs recorded reach a certain volume some people may find that they are unable to register for a call back. The club apologises for this and asks that people try again at another time or send an email to membership@pafc.com.au to request a call or request information via email.

General Manager of Marketing and Consumer Business Matthew Richardson said a higher call volume was planned for with the 2015 renewal campaign, but the current hold queues and callbacks were far greater than had been anticipated.

“The number of calls to our membership line has been overwhelming, with members renewing, changing seats or upgrading packages for 2015 plus nearly 3000 new members having joined in the first two weeks,” Richardson told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“We apologise to our members and supporters for the inconvenience and thank them for their patience while we work through callbacks. We have our team starting early and finishing late and will be working over the weekend to do our best to catch up

“Members have until December 19 to renew their membership to keep their current package, so there is still a couple of weeks to do this.

“For anyone who is able to, we’d urge them to renew online at weareportadelaide.com.au.”

Many of the calls the club is receiving are in relation to changing seats or membership categories. This can only be done by filling out a Seat Change Request Form and returning it to the club. Further details can be found at weareportadelaide.com.au.

New members are encouraged to sign up to the 11-game general admission + Wait List membership for just $175. Details on the Wait List can be found here

Members and supporters can also renew in person at the membership counter at The Port Club. The membership counter is open 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday and 10am to 3pm on Saturday.
