The opinions below are those of McKay and not necessarily the club.

Macca’s Top Five
Hamish Hartlett
Loved his game and it seemed the conditions really suited his game today. That sounds strange considering he tends to like space and being able to use the ball on the outside but loved how many times he was able to win a hard ball and get a big long kick forward. Also found some of that space on the outside and kicked a goal. Has raised his game again this year and has really worked hard on minimising his worst games and becoming a more consistent player. Best on ground. Great work Hammer.

Robbie Gray
Just a superstar. So consistent and once again put on a show in the midfield. Kicked a goal but it was his inside work that made him so good again today and what made him one of our best on the field. Only behind Hartlett for mine for best on ground. Just time after time was able to get those clearances and deliver the ball well. Is the best clearance winning mid in the game right now.

Matt Lobbe
Thought he had a poor first quarter where all his taps were going to Gold Coast mids but after 1/4 time he fixed his technique and just simply dominated in the ruck. 56 hitouts to 17 is a thrashing in anyones language. Not only that, he followed up with some great grunt work in the middle with a dozen tackles again as well. Loved his work in getting the quick kick forward as well. Well in our best players.

Tom Jonas
Really liked his game again this week and thought he was one of our best players. I rate his game slightly ahead of Broady's in the fact that he had an opponent to deal with and gave Sumner nothing all day. Not only did he stop Sumner from almost not getting a touch at all, he was just as good as Broady in stopping those Gold Coast attacks. Took some good marks and was able to get in the right spot to cause turnovers on a number of occasions. Just behind Hammer and Gray as best on for me. Just about his best game all year.

Travis Boak
Well held and was unable to get the uncontested ball that he normally gets, but was still an absolute beast at the stoppages. Was our best stoppage player on the day in my opinion.
