FORMER Port Adelaide assistant Alan Richardson will bring his Saints to Adelaide to face the Power at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.

Injuries have hit both sides and Andrew Fuss takes a look at who’s in the mix for selection this week.

Port Adelaide
The Power could have as many as five forced changes this week against the Saints.

Andrew Moore (shoulder) and Paul Stewart (knee) have already been confirmed as out. Travis Boak (ankle), Matt White (foot) and Chad Wingard (concussion) all played against the Demons but are in some doubt this week with injury.

There is some good news, however, on the injury front.

Tom Jonas (groin) has put his hand up for selection and would add strength to the Power’s defence.

Dom Cassisi (knee soreness) and Angus Monfries (ankle) are also a chance to return to the side.

With the Magpies having the bye on the weekend, no one was able to further their claims for selection in the SANFL, but Ben Newton, Cam O’Shea and Tom Logan have all had strong SANFL form in 2014 and could get the call-up if players fail fitness tests.

St Kilda
David Armitage returned through the VFL and is expected to return for the Saints, while Maverick Weller (concussion) and Luke Delaney (hip) will face fitness tests.

Saints senior coach Alan Richardson has hinted at the possibility of getting games into youngsters in the coming weeks.

saints.com.au reports that Tom Lee is one of these players, having booted three goals in a half in a VFL practice match.

Beau Maister and Sam Dunnell – who is yet to play a game in 2014 – could also be added to the Saints forward mix.

Half back Jimmy Webster and former Hawk Shane Savage will also come into contention, according to saints.com.au.
