Jackson Trengove, subbed out of last Saturday's game against the Swans, tweaked his ankle at training during the week but was given every chance by the Power coaching panel to recover by the Gold Coast match.
But he was unable to pull up fully fit for the match and will be replaced in the selected side by Tom Logan.
It means Logan will not play against Norwood in the SANFL tomorrow.
Gold Coast has also made a late change to its line-up with Greg Broughton withdrawn with an injured elbow, replaced by Louis Herbert who will act as the Suns' substitute.
Andrew Moore will be the Power's substitute.
