STAR West Coast goalkicker Josh Kennedy is one of several senior Eagles on target to return from injury for Sunday's crucial battle with top-eight rivals Port Adelaide at Domain Stadium.
Kennedy trained with the main group on Monday and just needs to get through the remainder of this week's sessions to take his place.
The dual Coleman medallist has missed the past four games since he hurt his calf and Achilles in the round 10 loss to Greater Western Sydney.
"He came and put his magnet on the board today in my office – he hasn't done that for five weeks," coach Adam Simpson told Channel Seven.
"He's got to get through training now; he's available to train.
"He ticked-off a few things over the weekend, so now he'll just train like everyone else and if he gets through that he'll play."
Skipper Shannon Hurn (concussion/hamstring) and Brownlow medallist Matt Priddis (soreness) are also likely to return after missing the win over the Western Bulldogs.
But veteran sharpshooter Mark LeCras is no guarantee to step straight back into the line-up after battling a sore hip and form woes, with the 30-year-old going goalless in his last four appearances.
"Obviously his form was a little bit down in the last couple of weeks before he went out of the side," Simpson said.
"You don't want to make too many excuses for players but he was carrying an injury.
"He's injury-free now, so he'll be available to train all week.
"It's going to be tight at match committee but if he's available we'll definitely look at him."
The Eagles will be forced to replace veteran backman Sam Butler, who has a standard hamstring injury, but Simpson was hopeful Sharrod Wellingham (corked hip) would be available.
Young defender Jackson Nelson (hamstring), goalsneak Josh Hill (illness) and veteran backman Will Schofield (hip) are back in the selection mix.
Ruckman Scott Lycett won 67 hit-outs for East Perth on Saturday but could find it tough to unseat Nathan Vardy, who was the hero with a late goal and several telling marks in the final quarter against the Dogs.
"It's a great problem for us to have," Simpson said of the selection squeeze.
"Scott Lycett's now available along with some of the senior players who have been out of the side in recent weeks.
"We've got to keep an eye on (providing opportunities to) our kids as well."
The Eagles and Port both boast 8-6 win-loss records heading into round 16, although the fifth-placed Power have a huge 29.1 percentage gap over West Coast in seventh spot on the ladder.
Port Adelaide plays West Coast at 2.40pm (AWST) at Domain Stadium on Sunday 9 July.
