Big-bodied defender Tom Clurey is a reliable and experienced defender. Often tasked with standing the opposition’s most dangerous tall forward, Clurey is known for his strength and habit of gluing himself to his opponent.
With huge pressure for backline spots, compounded by a back injury, Clurey did not see as much time on the park than he would have liked in 2023, managing just one senior game. Looking to be fully fit and firing, Clurey will be wanting to secure himself as a mainstay in Port’s defence moving forward.
