TWO FORCED changes have been made to the Port Adelaide side that defeated GWS by 75 points last Sunday.

Senior defenders Dom Cassisi and Jasper Pittard have fully recovered from respective hamstring and hip flexor injuries and have been included in Port's side to play the Swans at AAMI Stadium on Saturday.

Both have been named on the Power's interchange bench.

They replace the club’s injured captain Travis Boak and small forward Cameron Hitchcock who was substituted from last weekend’s game with an ankle problem.

Statement: Redden surgery

Director of coaching and strategy Alan Richardson told portadelaidefc.com.au the pair were brought straight back into the side because of the mix of experience, leadership and work ethic they offer the club’s coaches.

“Both boys (Cassisi and Pittard) were out because of injuries and we’ve missed them in the team,” said Richardson.

“We rate them both really high in terms of what they can bring.

“Dom has experience, leadership and influences the game – all the reasons you play a guy in your football side.

“He’s a very important member of the team and we're glad to have him back.

“Jasper’s worked really hard now for about six weeks in terms of his running and application on the track.

“We think he provides the team with so much run and quality rebound out of defence.”
