Port Adelaide high performance manager Darren Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au the veteran had been continually monitored since the club’s loss to Geelong in Round 20.

“We’ve taken a cautious approach with Dom given his history (with injury) this year,” Burgess said.

“We’ll keep a close eye on him again this week, but he’ll have to get through training.”

Paul Stewart and Jack Hombsch have also been listed for assessment in the lead up to the match, with Burgess pleased with their recovery.

“We’ve been happy with the way those guys have progressed,” Burgess said.

“We’ll just see how they go on the track this week.”

Brad Ebert is clear for selection after having a minor cork against the Dockers on the weekend.

The suspended Hamish Hartlett was also cleared of injury during the previous week after leaving the ground during the Power’s Round 21 match against Gold Coast.

His remaining one-week ban means he will be in prime condition for the club’s elimination final in two weeks.
