Peter Jackson Player of the Week

Brendon Ah Chee
Just worked hard over four quarters through the midfield, contested hard around the footy as well as some strong aerial marking in general play.

Player reviews

Jake Neade
Would like more consistency in his performance as well as pressure on the opposition over four quarters.

Mitch Harvey
Continues to show improvement in his forward craft, getting to lots of contests and is keeping the ball in his area better. Very trustworthy as well when he supports our rucks.

Steven Summerton
Provided good ball use across the game and can play in different positions depending on what we need at the time. A great captain’s goal right at the end to secure the win.

Tom Logan
Gave 100% again and showed great leadership by going on-ball in the second half. Helped turn the game in our favour with strong contested Magpies footy.

Kane Mitchell
Mitch was another player for us who had a four-quarter effort, but during the first half he undid some of his good work through some skill errors.

Sam Russell
Continues to provide a strong contest and make it tough for his opponent. Would like to see a little more offensive run at times but Sam is developing nicely.

Louis Sharrad
Plays his role week-to-week and gives us a tough edge to our game. Looking for a bit more consistency across quarters.

Robbie Young
He would have slept well Saturday night due to the high speed running on the big deck. I liked his composure at times when Centrals were pressuring us. He made good decisions when needed.

Andrew Moore
Like Arch he contested hard around stoppage - would like to see it for longer periods in the game though. In the next few weeks Andrew just needs to string four good quarters together and dominate his direct opponent.

Darcy Byrne-Jones
Really liked that he bounced back this week and was very focused on bringing high energy and a contest every time he attacked the ball. He was very aggressive with his run when in possession and we like it when he takes the opposition and the game on.

Sam Colquhoun
Bit of a different role for Sam this week with an opportunity to play a little higher up the ground. Won plenty of possession and used it extremely well and worked his opponent into the ground with elite running.

Cam O’Shea
Played on a medium-to-smaller opponent this week and was OK. Looking for Cam to defend first and then use his running ability to influence our offence or to get back and support our defence.

Jarred Redden
A very solid performance which saw him  compete really hard against a good opponent in Mabon. For Reddo we just need him to be aggressive and strong in the ruck contests.

Jesse Palmer
Lacked a little energy and run this week, but this could have been due to the bigger Oval. We are still impressed by the way he attacks the footy and how he is handling the pressure at SANFL level.

Sid Masters
Sid has done lots of good things for us since coming into the side about a month ago. He continues to defend strongly for us and provide a contest in the air against his opponent.

Johann Wagner
Was in and out of the game really, but what we are really liking is that he is using his weapons to our advantage. Showing plenty of composure when in possession but just needs to be aggressive in defensive actions.

Anthony Biemans
Just an OK game this week, but never shy of effort or attack on the ball. I have said this before in other reports, but we just cannot settle him into one position. We're looking to do this over the next few months.

Billy Frampton
Well considering it was his first taste of senior footy we felt he had a strong impact for us. Billy provided a contest forward and was able to support Reddo in the ruck.

Nathan Krakouer
Krak really did have a major impact for us in the first half, where he basically kept us in the game when Centrals were playing much better footy. Consistency of performance and effort across four quarters is his challenge.

John Butcher
Not a great first half from John, but got going in the second and did some really good things. Looking for John to have some flexibility in his game by being able to play at either end of the ground and have a positive influence on the game.
