PORT ADELAIDE will miss the services of former Bloods Riley Bonner and Will Snelling on Thursday night’s SANFL opener against the Redlegs at Norwood.

Bonner – Port Adelaide first pick in the most recent national draft – has suffered an aggravated hamstring and will not be cleared in time for the Thursday night match at The Parade.

Snelling has been hit by a virus and will miss this week.

Both are expected to return for the Magpies’ Round 2 game against the Adelaide Crows in Mannum.

“Both really minor, but enough to keep them out of this week,” Darren Burgess said of the pair.

“We’ll keep Riley on a rehab program this week and he’ll be back training fully for next week, Snelling just needs to rest.”

Nathan Krakouer, Billy Frampton, Tom Clurey and Dan Houston are all on track with their recoveries – and are pushing for full fitness within the month.

portadelaidefc.com.au last week reported Clurey and Frampton were on track with their foot rehab, with Frampton requiring more conditioning to get him match-ready.
