PORT Adelaide defender Jack Hombsch will miss Saturday night’s Showdown with a knee injury.

Hombsch suffered a minor medial ligament strain of his right knee in the final minutes of the Power’s clash with Freo at Adelaide Oval.

Port Adelaide high performance manager Darren Burgess said he expected Hombsch to miss 3-4 weeks.

“The injury happened in the final few minutes of the game,” Burgess said.

“He pulled up a bit sore the next day and scans on Tuesday showed some minor medial damage.”

Jasper Pittard will need to pass a fitness test at the club’s main session on Thursday while Hamish Hartlett will be available for selection against the Crows.
