PORT ADELAIDE has emerged victorious in Shanghai, capping off a monumental week in the history of the club by rocketing the Power into the top four teams of the competition.

For all the wheeling and dealing by the club with corporate China off the field, the Power was always going to be measured by its on-field performance.

Despite Michael Barlow being granted the first goal of the game via an ‘umpires call’ score review, Port proceeded to dismantle the Suns in every aspect.

The Power banged the next eight goals home to put the game on ice by half time.

Gold Coast scraped a response through ex-Crow Jarryd Lyons and Jesse Joyce shortly after, but never looked in the game.

Port's midfield was strong with Paddy Ryder dominant in the ruck with seven clearances to his name, while Westhoff and Ebert was strong throughout the day winning the ball and pushing it forward.

Westhoff also struck a contender for the AFL Goal of the Year with a curling ball across the pocket in the second quarter.

So too were Chad Wingard, Travis Boak and Ollie Wines, leading the Power's attacking entries.

Brad Ebert was judged best afield by media at the game for his 30-disposal, six-clearance, four-tackle performance. He'll celebrate the win and medal by flying home tonight to be with his newborn son, Leo.

The strong team-wide performance comes ahead of the Power's early bye, where they will take a break in Round 9 before returning against Geelong in Round 10's Sir Douglas Nicholls Indigenous Round at Simonds Stadium.
