PORT ADELAIDE’S strong SANFL form is putting pressure on at AFL selection.
Another strong effort from Angus Monfries will have him in consideration at selection table, according to Magpies coach Chad Cornes, but so too will several other in-form players.
"He [Monfries] is in conversation along with six or so other guys who are getting spoken about regularly,” Cornes said following Port’s 39-point win over Central on Saturday.
“It will be really interesting to see what Kenny does with selection this week.
"The guys are playing the right way and giving themselves the opportunity to go up and that's what we want.”
Port Adelaide plays Hawthorn at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday 1 June, and South Adelaide at Noarlunga on Saturday 3 June.
