Jacob Surjan and the Port Adelaide Football Club are parting ways after a playing and coaching career that spanned 14 years.

Jacob was a senior-listed player with Port Adelaide from 2004 until 2012, when he retired from AFL football.

He was subsequently employed by the club as the SANFL Development Manager and inaugural Academy Coach before progressing into an AFL Development Coaching role for the 2015-17 seasons.

The 32-year-old has worked with, and had some notable achievements with, Port Adelaide’s backline group through this period and has had a significant impact on the development of a number of players who have become consistent performers for the Power at AFL level.

Port Adelaide wishes Jacob and his family all the best in the future and thanks him for his professionalism and commitment to the club.
