We take a look back at a few gems that we have uncovered as later picks in the National Draft throughout the years.

Justin Westhoff – Pick 71 in 2006

Justin Westhoff was drafted from Central Districts, where he played 22 senior games and kicked 47 goals with the club.

Westhoff debuted against Hawthorn in Round 10, 2007 and booted three goals – the first Power player to achieve this feat.

Now…

The Port Adelaide utility has now played 226 games and has slotted 267 goals, in roles that have seen him play nearly every position on the ground.

The 31-year-old was nominated for the AFL Rising Star award in 2007, while winning Port’s Best First Year Player and the Gavin Wanganeen Medal in the same year. He won the Showdown medal in 2011, and took out the Coaches’ Award in 2013.

The Hoff has always had a knack for kicking the freakish goals - this compilation confirming that.
