TRENT "The Cannon" McKenzie is renowned for having a lethal left boot - so we decided to put it to the test.

The challenge was simple: Kick the footy from Alberton Oval, over the Allan Scott Power Headquarters and clear the building on the other side.

...could it be done? 

Things in McKenzie’s favour:

  • His famously huge kick
  • Perfect air pressure in the footy to allow it to travel optimal distance

Detracting factors:

  • Kicking into a stern south-westerly breeze
  • A two-hour training session prior, resulting in heavy legs
  • The pressure of an audience

The result? It can be done.
