THE 2018 AFL season begins this weekend with Port Adelaide hosting Fremantle at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, March 24 at 4.05pm (CDT).

The Dockers finished their JLT Community Series with a thumping 62-point win over fierce rivals West Coast in Joondalup.

Nathan Wilson has already proven to be a fantastic inclusion for Ross Lyon’s men, with the ex-Giant using the ball immaculately off the half back flank against the Eagles.

Hayden Ballantyne and Lachie Neale both kicked three goals in their last hit-out, with Neale also racking up 36 disposals in a brilliant individual performance.

Nathan Fyfe had 26 touches against the Eagles, to go with the 27 he collected against Adelaide in JLT 1.

Michael Walters and Aaron Sandilands impressed in both pre-season fixtures, while Matt Taberner was very influential in the forward half.

Andrew Brayshaw and Bailey Banfield are both expected to make their AFL debuts against the Power on Saturday, after impressing the Fremantle coaching staff since being drafted at the end of last season.

A good pre-season campaign by the Dockers will see them head to Adelaide with some confidence, but they will have to overcome the memory of last year’s 89-point defeat in the corresponding match.
