JUSTIN WESTHOFF is Port Adelaide’s distance king when it comes to who has covered the most territory at the club in a single game this year.

Data from the AFL Live app has revealed “The Hoff” had covered 14.2 kilometres in a game, giving the 31-year-old the honour of doing the most running in the team.

He might be the oldest player on the list but Westhoff’s ability to play just about any position from the midfield to up forward and even in the ruck has seen him do the hard yards across the ground.

Skipper Travis Boak and wingman Jared Polec are the club’s next best, each having covered 13.8 kilometres.

West Coast’s Andrew Gaff leads the competition with 15.9 kilometres in a single game, while Geelong’s Mark Blicavs is a close second with 15.5.

Collingwood holds the title as the team to cover the most ground in 2018 so far with a total distance of 2635.4 kilometres.

Port Adelaide’s 2215.5 kilometres does not include the Round 9 game against Gold Coast in Shanghai.

The data has also revealed which players at each club had hit the highest speed in a sprint.

At Port Adelaide the surprise winner is defender Dougal Howard.

Howard hit a top speed of 33.5 kilometres per hour to edge out Darcy Byrne-Jones (33.1kmph) and Steven Motlop (33.0)

The league’s fastest player is North Melbourne’s Majak Daw who reached a staggering 35.6 kilometres an hour.

That stat might explain how the 195 centimetre forward/defender managed to catch Power skipper Travis Boak in a tackle when the sides met in Round 6.
