RUNNING defender Trent McKenzie will today have scans on the quad muscle he injured during the Magpies’ loss to North Adelaide on Saturday. Results of the scans will be known tomorrow. 

Young forward Todd Marshall also finished the Magpies’ game on the bench after a knock to his shoulder. His fitness will be assessed during the week.  

Ruckman Peter Ladhams will also be assessed during the week as he recovers from patellar tendonitis that has kept him out of the past three games. 

Medical staff are yet to put a timeline on Matthew Broadbent’s comeback from ankle surgery. The veteran defender’s progress is being carefully monitored as he steadily increases his workload.
