Jonas on the side’s inconsistent performances:

“We need to own and accept that,”

“We have been an inconsistent team for a long time. We are doing everything we can to stamp that out but at the moment that seems to be the case.

“Fortunately, this week is usually a pretty emotional one. It’s a big build up and a great week, so I dare say we will bounce back.”

Jonas on the build-up to the Western Bulldogs clash:

“That’s been the tough thing because we feel like we’ve been consistent with our training,”

“The training standard has been great for a long time. Our mental mindset - at least outwardly - has been exactly the same.

“We are approaching the games the way we did the week before against Geelong. Then to dish up a first-quarter performance, and a whole game performance like that has become baffling.

“We don’t know the answer right now, so we are just working on what we can control.”

Jonas on the Port’s SANFL clash with North Adelaide:

“It was an outstanding performance in the Maggies,”

“You saw what Rocky (Tom Rockliff) dished up, and Westy (Justin Westhoff) went back there and enjoyed kicking the Burley around.

“There is pressure for spots again which is great. Those boys will be definitely in-line for a recall, as well as the boys coming back from suspension.

“There will be some tough decisions to be made.”

Jonas on Hinkley’s comments post-game:

“Kenny (Ken Hinkley) isn’t saying anything that we don’t already recognise,”

“When we walk off the ground after a disappointing defeat, having gone win-loss-win-loss for a fair while, we know the reality.

“He is just saying what we’re thinking.”

Jonas on Ollie Wines:

“He’s a really proud guy,”

“He was hurting a bit after the game, but being a leader of the club, it goes beyond what he produces.

“He was disappointed in that, but he also gets out of his own individual game and helps others with theirs.

“I expect a massive response. He’ll be buzzing around the club helping others, but also working on his own game, and he’ll be eager to bounce back.”

Jonas on the message to his side ahead of the Showdown:

“There is obviously a lot on the line in a Showdown,”

“Naturally there will be a little bit (of emotion) around. It’s about sticking to our processes and bouncing back after last week.

“Being a Showdown, it’s going to be a tough, contested game, which is what the Crows bring and what we will need to bring to beat them.
