PORT ADELAIDE will be without wingman/defender Riley Bonner for Saturday’s game against North Melbourne but Orazio Fantasia could be available.

Bonner sprained his right ankle in the third quarter of the win over the Western Bulldogs on Friday night and was subbed out of the game.

Imaging confirmed the long-kicking left footer has injured ligaments in his ankle and he has been ruled out of this weekend’s trip to Hobart.

Forward Fantasia has not played this season having had off-season knee surgery.

He has steadily increased his training load and has been cleared to play should he get through the week on the track.

Fantasia’s return comes after spearhead Charlie Dixon played his first game for the year in the SANFL on Saturday. Dixon pulled up well on Monday after having eleven disposals and booting a goal on his comeback.

Kane Farrell will be clear of the AFL’s health and safety protocols later this week and available for selection but former Kangaroo Trent Dumont has now fallen under the protocols and won’t face his former side.

Miles Bergman is also likely to be available having returned to full training after missing the last three games with a virus.

Port Adelaide will on Thursday evening name its side to take on North Melbourne at Hobart’s Blundstone Arena on Saturday from 2:10pm AEST / 1:40pm ACST.
